The first origin of a non-Elven Druid was that of a Shaman Troll, Khe'lik, who converted from a disciple of the overbearing Orcish Shamanistic ways after settling with the White Elves and becoming enchanted by the Elven hospitality. He along with his two sons were inducted into the Druidic folds at the behest of a Druid, Aliess Calysie and her Elder Matron Druid, Laryssa Celandie. This was a time when the Druids were weakened by the attrition of several tribal wars and the defence of the Elven glades and the sacred grounds within. The Matron Elder Celandie believed her Druidic Dioces was in danger of folding and the Ways of the Druids were in danger of becoming a historic footnote. Her reasoned argument to the Circle of Elders was that the Shamans were of similar Ilk to that of the Druid. Both disciplines based their roots in harmonising with nature and that the Druids had learned much in their observations of the Shamans of this Realm. The Druid Dioces grew in numbers quickly and non Elven Druids outnumbered Elven Druids 3 to 1 within a decade. Although mostly Trolls took up this introduced discipline, a measurable number of Humans and Orcs also took up the way of the Druid.

During the year 121prd, several Orc and Troll Druids led by Chief Karlak, an Orc Shaman attempted to remove an Arcgale Crystal formation from the Sacred Mantles. Although largely a symbolic move, Chief Karlak, had brought about the pivotal moment that would divide the Druidic Dioces and bring down the wrath of the Elven forces in the defence of their archaeological discoveries. The many Arcgale Crystal formations found by the White Elves were discovered to be a central source of intense Arcane and Primal magic, observing magical and healing properties which exceeded almost all known sources ever discovered previously. It was Chief Karlak's belief that the Elven settlers had a duty to return the territory with these previously unknown formations to the Indigenous Shamans by Realm Right of Passage. For the first time in a recorded millenia, Druids would stand agains Druids in a war that would be known as the Mantle of Bells.
